John Jordan Photography
South East Asia

This portfolio was made while traveling through Cambodia, Laos and Thailand during the winter of 2010.

Having recently purchased a Leica M9 camera, I was so taken by its clean files produced from the new algorithms of Lightroom 3.0 that I departed from my norm and used a digital camera to exclusively capture the color portfolio. As always, I used Tri-X and my decades old M6's for black and white.

Of the three countries, I was mosted captivated by Cambodia, a young, raw country considered by its younger population to have been born upon Pol-Pot's death in 1998. Inexpensive to travel, it's exciting, historic and laid back.
